ZALKAL at conferences in spring and summer 2026#
In April, Domenik Spallek gave a presentation at the annual meeting of the German EBSD Working Group in Magdeburg titled: “Characterization of Local Deformation Around Individual Dislocations in GaN Using High-Resolution EBSD Measurements and Cathodoluminescence Spectroscopy.”
Dr. Kagiso Loeto gave a presentation titled “The Role of Point Defects in AlGaN-based Deep-Ultraviolet Quantum Wells” at the International Conference on UV-LED Technologies & Applications in Berlin (April 21–24).
Dr. Jonas Lähnemann gave a presentation in June at the GaN Marathon (June 7–10) in Florence: “The UV-C Challenge: Insights from Spatio- and Time-Resolved Cathodoluminescence Spectroscopy.”
At the 21st International Conference on Defects Recognition, Imaging, and Physics in Semiconductors (DRIP) in Warsaw (August 30–September 3), Domenik Spallek gave a presentation titled “Distortion Tensor Around Individual Dislocations in GaN Studied by Electron Backscatter Diffraction and Cathodoluminescence Spectroscopy.”
At the 21st International Microscopy Congress (IMC21) in Liverpool (August 31–September 4), Dr. Jonas Lähnemann gave a presentation titled “Pushing the boundaries in time-resolved cathodoluminescence spectroscopy.”
Domenik Spallek and Dr. Kagiso Loeto participated in the 37th Heimbach Workshop organized by the working group of Prof. Michael Kneissl and Dr. Tim Wernicke (TU Berlin, Ferdinand-Braun-Institut) in Mansfeld from September 14 to 18, where they gave presentations.
